Piercing forceps (plastic·for making piercings)

Plastic forceps that grip and hold the spot to be pierced during a piercing procedure. They have finger rings like a pair of scissors, and the tips are slotted open through the middle.

Why the tips are open

If the tips were solid there would be no way to get the needle into the clamped tissue. These forceps have a slot at each tip, so the needle passes through that slot while the tissue stays clamped. The tissue cannot shift while the needle goes through, so the hole does not come out crooked, and once it is made you open the forceps sideways and slide them off.

What being plastic means

Unlike metal forceps they are light and feel less cold against the skin. In exchange, boiling water or high temperature sterilization will warp them, and once they have blood on them it is safer to throw them away than to wash and reuse them.

Before you use it

Owning the tool does not mean you can perform the procedure. The genitals, the nipples and the tongue are crowded with blood vessels and nerves, and everything from judging the placement to stopping the bleeding takes experience, so leave it to a professional piercing studio. They clamp living tissue, so holding them on too long cuts off the blood supply. Clamp only for the moment it takes to set the position, never for more than 5 minutes, and release immediately if the clamped tissue turns white. Do not clamp broken or inflamed skin.
