C-shaped piercing ring (balls on both ends·genital and ear)

A C-shaped ring open on one side like a horseshoe. A ball screws onto each open end to close it, and it is worn in piercings that are already made, such as the ear or the genitals. It is a thick-gauge ornament bent from a single piece of metal.

The friction the two balls create

The body of the ring sits held in the piercing while the two balls stand out on the outside. During penetration those balls meet the partner's inner wall and create friction, and as the ring moves, the area around the wearer's own piercing is stimulated too. It goes in through the open side

Unlike a fully closed ring, one side is open, so undoing a single ball is enough to pass it through the piercing. There is no need to force the ring apart, which means less strain on the piercing when you change jewelry. The open gap is narrow, though, so it cannot be worn hooked over skin where there is no piercing.

Before you wear it

The gauge is on the thick side. If it is more than 1mm thicker than the jewelry you wear now it will not go in, and forcing it will tear the piercing, so have the piercing stretched at a professional studio first. A new piercing also has to be done by a professional, and jewelry should only be changed once it has fully healed. Screw-on balls can work loose while you move, and a ball left inside a partner's body is a serious problem, so get into the habit of tightening them by hand before you start. A thick ring has weight to it, and worn for long periods it can stretch the piercing downward. Do not wear it in a wound or an unhealed piercing.
