Why the spikes point inward
The most common way out of a chastity device is to pull backward and slip free between the ring and the cage. This part blocks that movement. In a normal position the spikes either do not touch the skin or touch it only lightly, and they catch only when you try to pull backward out of the device. The direction is set so that the harder you pull, the harder they catch.
The horseshoe shape and the two tabs
