No ring to pass through
A cage-type device has to have a ring passed around the base, and if that size does not fit you cannot use it at all. This one uses no ring; it is a harness that rests on the body and is held by the strap, so there is no measuring for ring size. For anyone who found a ring uncomfortably tight, it is another option.
The cup, the curved bar and the strap
The metal cup that covers the front is hollow inside and finished with a polished surface. The curved bar extending from the cup passes through the center of the groin and around to the back, and a pink elastic strap with snap fasteners holds the waist and the back. Length is set by moving the snaps, which gives a wide range of adjustment.
Before you use it
It is held by a strap and screws rather than a key-operated padlock. The wearer can undo it alone if they decide to, so if you want a lock that physically prevents that, choose a key-operated cage. Caution
For adults only. The harder you pull the strap, the more the force gathers at one point in the groin, so tighten it only to the point where it does not chafe as you walk. Release it immediately if a pressure point turns red or goes numb. It is held by a strap and screws rather than a padlock and key, so the strength of the lock is lower than on a key-operated cage.
