SMPlayer V1 e-stim unit (low-frequency·for sensitive areas)

The control unit that sends current to e-stim attachments. This device does nothing on its own, and you need electrode attachments that touch the body along with lead wires to use it. The markings on the back give the model as SM-89, the size as 60 x 100 x 15mm, and the power source as two AAA batteries.

The output printed on the back

The label gives the output as up to 100V at 20mA and the frequency as 2Hz to 100Hz. The voltage looks high on its own, but the current that flows is capped at 20mA. Even so, this is electricity running through the body, so the rule about starting at the lowest setting still stands.

Buttons and dial

There are two output sockets on the top, and on the front a power button, four mode buttons, and a speed button sit in a row. Turning the dial at the upper right raises the intensity smoothly from the weakest point to the strongest. Each button has an indicator light beside it, so you can see at a glance which mode is running.

You choose between two versions

When ordering, you pick either type A or type B. Type A is the black button-operated unit, and type B is a silver multifunction device with a display. The two are operated differently and have different mode sets, so check the connector standard of the attachments you already own.

Before you use it

This product is the control unit. The electrode attachments that touch the body and the lead wires are not in the photo and have to be obtained separately. If you switch the power on before both contacts are on the body, a strong current hits the body all at once, so keep to the order. Because it runs on batteries, the intensity at the same dial position changes as the batteries drain. Dry skin under an electrode stings at the same setting, so a little moisture or a thin layer of water-based gel is better.
