Electro-stim anal plug (bipolar electrodes·flat base)

An electro-stim plug shaped as a ring that is open through the middle. Two stainless steel electrodes are set into the side of the black ABS plastic body, and the flat bottom catches outside the body. The supplier states that it can be used either anally or vaginally and that it suits both men and women.

The size in numbers

It is 78mm long and about 34mm across at its widest point. The inside of the ring is open, and that opening measures 22mm x 49mm, with a total weight of 20g. Among electro-stim plugs this is on the small and light side, which makes it less daunting for a first attempt.

Both electrodes on one body

The two metal electrodes sit side by side on the flank of the plug, so the current runs only between those two points. The path the current takes is shorter than with an arrangement that places electrodes at two distant points on the body. The tip is rounded off, so it goes in and comes out easily and is made to stay where you put it.

What is included and what is not

What you get is the plug and the lead. The connector standard is a 2 x 2mm pin and the cable ends in a 2.5mm jack. The supplier states plainly that the unit which generates the pulses is not included, so if you do not have one you will need to obtain it separately.

What to know before you use it

The flat bottom is meant to catch outside the body, but do not trust that base and push it in deep. Use only water based lubricant, since inserting it dry damages the mucous membrane. The sensation before and after the current is applied is very different, so it is safer at first to insert it with the power off and get used to the position. Being plastic and metal, it is harder than silicone and feels cold until it warms to body temperature.
