Urethral sounding and e-stim ring set (control unit sold separately)

An accessory set that sends current through the shaft of the penis and the inside of the urethra. It consists of one ribbed stainless steel sound, one elastic band ring fitted with a metal plate, and one lead wire that connects the two contacts to a unit. The supplier states that this set is an accessory only and has to be used together with a pulse massager.

Both contacts sit within one area

The band ring wraps around the shaft and the sound goes into the urethra. Both contacts sit on the same area, so the current closes within it instead of crossing the body. The path the current travels is shorter than with electrodes placed on two distant parts of the body, and that is the advantage of this arrangement.

What is included and what is not

Included are the sound, the band ring and the lead wire. The unit that generates the pulses is not included, so you have to supply it separately. One end of the lead wire is a jack that plugs into the unit and the other end is two contacts that clip to the ring and the sound.

What to know before use

The urethra is mucous membrane, it is damaged very easily, and an infection travels up to the bladder. Disinfect the sound before every use, apply plenty of water based lubricant, and never push if you feel it catching. When the current comes on the muscles twitch by themselves and the sound shifts, so settle the depth before raising the intensity. The band ring is a constricting item too, so release it at once if you feel numbness or see a color change.
