Leather wrist cuffs (two-tone leather·gold buckles·snap hooks)

A pair of leather cuffs for the wrists. The outside is black leather and the inside is lined with leather in a contrasting color to soften the face that touches the skin. You set the fit with the buckles and join the two cuffs with a short chain and snap hooks.

Buckles come off straight away

The fit is set through buckle holes like a belt, so even thin wrists can be fastened without slack. There is no key, so in a hurry the buckle alone releases them, and unlike metal handcuffs they do not tighten further when someone pulls against them. That is why buckle cuffs rather than metal are the usual recommendation for anyone trying restraint for the first time.

Joined together or used separately

The two cuffs are joined by a short chain with snap hooks. The chain is short, so the hands are held close together, and unclipping the hooks lets you use each cuff on its own. Do not clip the hooks directly to something like a bed post; use them only to limit the freedom of the wrists.

Before you use them

The straps are not especially wide, so worn for a long time they leave pressure marks. The lining takes up sweat and holds the smell, so wipe them and dry them every time you use them. Wrist cuffs are not made to carry body weight, so never hang your weight from them.
