Bondage rope, 10m (soft cotton)

A 10m rope made for bondage. It is woven from soft cotton-type yarn so it does not chafe the skin, and the core is 9mm thick. It comes in three colors, black, red and pink, and the supplier lists the country of origin as Amazon in the United States.

The zigzag weave

Rather than being twisted in one direction like ordinary rope, it is woven in a zigzag around a round core. That means the rope will not untwist no matter which way you turn it, and a cut end does not unravel. The supplier explains that this weave leaves fewer marks on the skin even during long ties or when a lot of force is on the rope.

What 10m gives you

It is more than enough if you only tie wrists and ankles, and it is about what you need if you also want to wrap the torso several times. The supplier's guide gives the example of folding roughly 5m in half to tie two hands in front, and using the full 10m to wrap the torso. If you need shorter pieces you can cut it, and the ends still will not fray.

How it feels against skin

Being cotton-based it has a little stretch, no smell, and the supplier states that the color does not run in the wash. It is not slippery like nylon rope, so knots hold well. The trade-off is that it takes time to dry once it soaks up water.

What to know before you use it

Even a soft rope is still a tool that constricts the body. Do not wrap it around the neck, and keep checking the color and temperature of hands and feet. Knots can be hard to undo by hand in a hurry, so keep a cutting tool beside you from the start. The supplier also stresses repeatedly that you should never leave a tied person alone in a room.
