Slave dog leather paw mitts (fist restraint·wrist buckle)

A pair of leather mitts that hold the hands closed in a fist so the fingers cannot open. The outside is black leather, and thick padding sits over the back of the hand and the palm, so the hand is not sore even when it is clenched inside. The wrist is tightened with a strap punched with several holes.

They take the fingers out of use

There are no separate slots for the fingers, so all five go in as one. You can open and close the hand inside, but you cannot pick anything up or untie a knot. Because they cut down what you can do without hurting the hand, they sit lighter on the wearer than handcuffs.

A strap that locks at the wrist

The wrist strap has several adjustment holes, so it fastens to the thickness of the wrist. A small padlock goes through the end of the strap, and a key comes with it. Once it is locked, the wearer cannot take the mitts off alone.

Before you use them

Once they are locked the other person can do nothing on their own, so managing the key is half of what this item is about. The leather is closed on the inside, so over time sweat builds up and the hands turn slippery. A tight wrist makes the hand tingle, so leave some slack and check the color of the fingertips often.
