Stainless steel bondage hand mitts (ball shape·lockable)

A restraint that encloses the whole hand in a stainless steel hemisphere and locks at the wrist. It looks like a boxing glove, but it is really a metal lock that shuts the hand away completely. The materials are stainless steel and silica gel.

Your fingers move, but they cannot hold anything

The two halves of the sphere swing open on a hinge, you place the hand inside, and you close it again. Your fingers are not squeezed, so it does not hurt, but the inside is smooth and there is nothing to grip. You cannot touch a door handle, your clothes or your own body, and walking around is the only thing that still works normally. The supplier describes it as a way of cutting down what someone can do without causing discomfort or pain.

There are separate sizes for men and women

The women's wrist band is 4.5 x 6.0cm and the men's is 5.0 x 7.0cm. The hemisphere is 120mm across in both versions and each side weighs about 500g. If your wrist is far outside those measurements it will either be loose or will not go on at all, so measure your wrist before you order.

Padlocks and a 9cm chain

The wrist bands close with small brass padlocks, and the keys are included. The chain that joins the two hands is only 9cm long, so you cannot spread your arms wide. There are locks at both ends of the chain as well, so you can remove the chain and lock each hand separately. Black rubber runs around the rim so the metal edge never rests directly on the wrist.

Before you use them

This is solid metal with real weight, so wearing it for a long stretch tires the wrists and shoulders. It only opens with a key, and if the key is lost the mitts cannot be removed without tools. While the hands are unusable they cannot break a fall, so always hold the person steady when they move around. Being metal, it feels cold on first contact, and colder still if the room is cool.
