What actually holds the person

Rather than binding one part of the body the way rope or cuffs do, it holds through pressure spread evenly over the whole body. Nothing pinches painfully at one point, but in exchange the arms and legs can barely move. Getting out on your own under vacuum is effectively impossible, so someone outside to open the valve is essential.

The face and breathing

A single tube is visible at the face in the photographs. It is the airway in this design, but the supplier has attached no written description, so the tube's diameter and material are unconfirmed. This is an item where latex clings to the face, so breathing stops the instant the tube is pressed or moves out of place. Set the tube's position before you draw the air out and keep checking it while you do.

The original listing does not say whether a pump or a vacuum cleaner is included, so check when you order, and if not, you will need suction equipment separately. The width and length, the weight, and the body weight it can take are not given as figures in the original either, so ask about those at the same time. Opened out, it is large enough for a person to lie on, so you need space to set it up and space to store it folded. Latex traps the heat your body gives off, so a long session raises your temperature and pools sweat. Above all, this is not an item to use alone; use it only when someone else is there.
