VIVISHINE latex shine spray, 250 ml

A shine spray made for latex clothing. It is the spray format within the VIVISHINE range of latex care products, and the volume is 250ml. The ingredients are polydimethylsiloxane, pectin, and nitrogen.

Bringing back only the spots that have gone dull

Latex clothing loses its shine first where it folds and presses most, at the knees, the seat, and the elbows. This spray disperses in a fine mist, so you can aim it at just those places. Because you can control the amount, you can use only as much as you need without soaking the whole garment. It sprays at any angle, so you can reach places that are awkward to get at, such as the inside of an arm or the back of a leg.

How you use the cloth decides the result

To spread it evenly over a large surface after spraying, you need a lint free cloth. A bone dry cloth soaks up the liquid you sprayed and leaves the shine patchy. The supplier advises loading the cloth lightly with a liquid from the same range, or dampening it lightly with water. Done that way, the cloth spreads the liquid evenly over the surface instead of absorbing it.

Routine care and restoring the shine are different things

The supplier presents this spray as a companion to the basic care liquid. Washing and looking after the garment is a separate process, and this spray is used after that, at the stage of bringing the shine back up. Think of it as something you spray once just before wearing the garment to lift the shine.

Before you use it

A 250ml bottle does not come cheap, so if you own only one or two garments, work out how often you would actually use it first. Oil rots latex, so replacing this with an ordinary polish or an oil will ruin the garment. Sprayed liquid is slippery where it lands on the floor, so lay down newspaper or a towel while you work.
