A black full-head hood with a translucent latex bag over the face. A zipper runs from the back of the head down to the neck, and the bag covers the front of the face. When you breathe out the bag inflates, and when you breathe in it is drawn tight against your face.
Choose the size by head and neck circumference
The photo chart on the same page lists six sets of measurements. XS is 48.5cm around the head with a 30.5cm neck, S is 53cm and 32.5cm, M is 57cm and 36.5cm, L is 60cm and 39.5cm, XL is 63.5cm and 40.5cm, and XXL is 65cm and 41.5cm. Use a tape measure to take your head circumference just above the eyebrows and your neck at its thickest point, then match them. A tight neck is dangerous in itself, so if you fall between sizes it is better to take the larger one.
What a breath restricting design means
This mask blocks the front of the face with a bag and narrows the passage to outside air. You end up rebreathing the air inside the bag, so the quality of the air you take in drops the longer it goes on. That feeling of restriction is the reason people choose it, and it is not made to be worn for long. Both people need to start knowing that with breath play an accident takes only seconds to make someone lose consciousness, and the person wearing it may not be able to signal at all.
Putting it on and taking it off
Latex clothing is made to cling to the body and will not go on easily without lubrication. Dust a thin layer of baby powder inside or apply a silicone based lubricant. Pulling with your fingernails tears the spot you pull, so grip it flat with your palms to stretch it, and keep your nails away from the thin bag in particular. Oil or oil based lubricant will rot the latex.
Before you use it
This is one of the most dangerous items in this range. The person wearing it has no vision, hears sound as muffled, and cannot easily get it off. The person watching must not look at a phone or step away, and must keep their eyes only on that person. If a small hole or a crack appears in the bag, it has reached the end of its life, so throw it out without hesitation. Latex traps heat around the head, so it is safer to use it in short sessions and take it off often to cool down.

How to use

Before you start, choose someone to watch over you and have them stand where they can open the zipper at once.

Agree on a signal, such as raising a hand, that means take it off immediately, and also have the wearer hold an object they can drop.

Dust the inside with powder or apply a silicone based lubricant, open the zipper, and slide your head in.

Before the bag goes on, sit with only the hood on and check your breathing and your field of view first.

Keep the time with the bag on very short, and have the person watching count the time every single round.
Cleaning and storage
After use, rinse the inside and outside with lukewarm water, shake off the water, and dry it in the shade. Breath and saliva reach the inside of the bag, so turn it inside out, rinse it, and dry it completely so no odor is left. Oils, creams, and oil based lubricants rot latex, so keep them away from it. Once it is fully dry, dust it with powder and roll it up without creases, then store it in a cool, dark place. If the bag has a hole or a crack, stop using it and throw it away.
