It holds well on tile, glass, vinyl flooring and smooth countertops. On rough painted walls, tile with deep grout lines or wood with a pronounced grain, air leaks in and it falls off. Wipe the surface, add a trace of moisture and press for 5 to 10 seconds and it will hold far better.
