Stainless steel ball ring (304 steel·4 and 4.5cm inner diameter)

A stainless steel ring dressed into a teardrop shape. One end is a narrow loop and it widens and thickens toward the other end, so it rests against a broad area of skin. The material is 304 stainless steel, which resists rust, and the ring comes in two sizes, 4cm and 4.5cm.

A teardrop form that is wide on one side

A round ring puts the same force all the way around. This one spreads wide on one side, so the contact area is larger there and the weight sits toward that side as well. Because the broad face supports the skin, it digs in less than a thin ring does. Set on your palm, it is large enough to nearly fill it.

Seamless solid metal

It is made as a single body with no screws or hinges. There is nothing to spring open, so it cannot come undone while you wear it and no grime collects in a joint. On the other hand, once it is on you cannot spread it to remove it, which makes choosing the size a safety matter in itself. The surface is polished to a mirror finish and dressed with no sharp edges.

What to know before you use it

A metal ring does not stretch. When choosing between 4cm and 4.5cm, measure the circumference with a piece of string and convert it, and if you are on the line, take the larger one. Keep wearing times short, and remove it immediately if you feel numbness or the color darkens. A little water based lubricant makes it easier to get on and off.
