High-power wand massager (corded, 2 speeds)

A wand style massager that plugs into a wall outlet. The handle is long and the head is round and large, which suits pressing and rubbing over a broad area. The neck is a soft material so the angle can be bent, the strength has two settings of low and high, and although the supplier presents it as a well known brand model, we have not confirmed whether it is genuine.

The switch has three positions

There are three markings on the switch. L on the white side is low, the middle is off, and H on the red side is high. With only two settings there is no fine adjustment, but you can tell which position you are in by feel alone. The high side is strong, as the name suggests, so start on low.

No battery, so the power stays steady

It plugs straight into a household outlet and is built to run on anything between 110V and 250V. Unlike a rechargeable device, the vibration does not weaken while you use it, and there is no battery level to check before you start. In exchange, you can only use it within reach of the cord.

Do not run it past 25 minutes

Running it continuously for more than 25 minutes heats the outer shell until it deforms and fails. To use it again, switch it off, let it cool for more than 30 minutes, then turn it back on. Running it somewhere heat cannot escape, such as under a blanket or a pillow, is dangerous for the same reason and can start a fire. Keep the vents clear.

What to know before you use it

This device must not get wet. Do not use it in the bathroom or against a wet body, and do not wash it with water. Do not grip the head with your hand or press it hard against the body while it is running. Pressing harder does not make the stimulation stronger, it only bends the neck that supports the head. Avoid the chest, the thyroid area at the front of the neck, and skin that is swollen or broken, and if your calf hurts for no clear reason, do not use it and speak to a doctor.
