Vanessa lubricant, 200 ml

A 200ml lubricant from Vanessa and Co. of Japan. The bottle is labeled Shape up Lotion, and in the photographs the liquid is clear and colorless, while the bottle is translucent so you can see how much is left from the outside. Along with the cap, a separate pointed nozzle top is included.

200ml lasts a long time

Most lubricants on the shelf come in bottles of around 50ml. This one is four times that at 200ml, so even frequent users will not need to reorder for a while. Since each application uses only a little, keeping one large bottle also works out better on price.

It feels cool the moment it touches

Applied to the skin, it gives off a faint cool sensation. Beyond reducing friction, it wakes the senses up a little. It is not strong enough to tingle, though, the coolness is brief.

No parabens

The supplier's description states that no parabens or harmful chemicals were used. That is worth considering if your skin is sensitive and reacts to preservatives. The full ingredient list is not published, however, so anyone with allergies should test a small amount first.

Before you use it

The weakest point of this product is that it never says what base the gel is made from. A water based gel is fine to use directly on silicone toys, but a silicone based one will make the toy surface soft and tacky. If you plan to use it with a silicone vibrator or sleeve, put a little on an inconspicuous spot in advance and check it a day later to be safe. There is no problem using it on the body itself.
