What glass makes possible

Glass behaves nothing like silicone or rubber. There are no pores at all in the surface, so lubricant and odor do not soak in, and washing returns it to as-new condition every time. Unlike silicone products, it is not fussy about the type of lubricant, and water-based or silicone-based both work.

The sensation slipperiness creates

A glass surface is smoother than any other material. The original also cites that smooth surface, which lets it go in without pain, as this product's strength. That said, slippery also means low friction, so choosing a shape with contours makes the sensation more distinct.

Temperature play, warmed or chilled

Soaked in warm or cold water, glass holds that temperature for a long time. The same product can produce completely different sensations, and it is a way of using a toy that silicone cannot offer. On the hot side, always test it against the back of your hand before use.

A structure you can see through

Because the color is transparent, the inside shows through while it is worn. The original also describes this as something to show a partner. There is a wide disc base at the bottom, so it cannot be drawn inside.

What to know before you use it

The most important thing with a glass product is checking it for damage. It is cast in one piece and does not break easily, but dropped on a hard floor it can chip. Run your eyes over the surface before use to check for cracks or missing pieces, and do not use it if you see even one. When storing it, do not set it straight down on concrete or tile, put it on cloth. Glass does not compress, so it is also wise to be more conservative about size than you would be with silicone.
