This is a hand pump for toys that are inflated with air. Inflatable products are usually made to be blown up by mouth, but anything bulky is hard to fill with your breath and takes a long time. One accessory you squeeze by hand shortens that process.
How it differs from blowing by mouth
Squeezing by hand pushes in the same amount of air each time, so the shape comes out even. Your breath carries moisture in with it, while the pump pushes in dry air, so less water is left inside. Most inflatable products cannot be opened up and dried inside, which is why this difference shows more the longer you own one. The bigger the product, the bigger the difference in filling time as well.
Before you use it
It is not an accessory that fits every toy. The valve diameter and the plug shape have to match, so check the valve on the product you own first. Too much air bursts the seams first, so stop once the surface feels taut. Air escapes fast the moment you pull the pump out, so the plug has to go back on immediately. Because you squeeze it by hand, filling a large product completely takes many squeezes.

Cleaning and storage
After use, wipe any dust off the nozzle with a dry cloth. If water gets inside, that moisture goes straight into the toy the next time you use it, so never submerge it. Storing it crushed or folded means it will not spring back, so keep it laid out flat. A cracked nozzle leaks air, so do not use one that has split.
Caution
Over inflating bursts the seams of the toy. Stop once it holds its shape and the surface feels taut. It cannot be used on a product whose air valve does not match, so check the shape of the valve on the toy you own before ordering.
